Creating Records

New

Forms can now create brand new HubSpot records — not just update existing ones. Pair it with built-in duplicate detection to keep your CRM clean.

  • Choose update, create, or both per form
  • Configure duplicate match combinations (email, name+company, etc.)
  • Reps see duplicates before submitting and can acknowledge a match instead of creating a new record
  • Cross-object sections support record creation and auto-association

Cross-Object Sections

Touch multiple HubSpot objects from a single form. Drop a cross-object section onto the canvas, choose the associated object (for example, add a company section on a contact form), then add fields to that section like you would anywhere else. The submission updates both records and keeps the association intact.

Webhooks

Push submission data to any external system over HTTP. Ideal for Zapier, Make, or custom endpoints.

  • Multiple webhook destinations per form, each individually togglable
  • Custom headers for auth (API keys, bearer tokens, etc.)
  • Configurable payloads with merge codes from form fields and HubSpot properties
  • Email notifications when a webhook delivery fails

File Uploads

Capture documents and images directly from your forms. Single-file upload maps to a HubSpot file property; multi-file upload attaches multiple files to a custom field on the submission.

Test Mode in the Form Builder

Preview and validate a form before rolling it out. Impersonate a real HubSpot user inside the builder, submit the form as they would, and see the result flagged as a test submission on the Submissions page so it doesn't get confused with real rep activity.
